Musicians and directors of the first 'Harmony in the Holy Land' concert event were invited to perform at the opening ceremonies of the First International Jerusalem Symposium on Green & Accessible Pilgrimage, an interfaith event that took place from April 21-26, 2013 at Jerusalem's International YMCA.

 

Speakers included Jerusalem's mayor, Nir Barkat and deputy mayor Naomi Tzur, who is a founding member of the Green Pilgrim Network, an international movement to create sustainable, environmentally friendly infrastructure in pilgrimage cities around the world.  The Jerusalem Symposium was the Green Pilgrim Network's inaugural event, which coincided with the observance of Earth Day, April 22.  For more information, please visit www.greenjerusalem.org.
